What Are People Saying About Your Event? Ask Social Mention

Here is a cool tool to use if you are looking for a quick way to find out what is being said about your conference or event…. SocialMention.

From their website:

Social Mention is a social media search and analysis platform that aggregates user generated content from across the universe into a single stream of information.

It allows you to easily track and measure what people are saying about you, your company, a new product, or any topic across the web’s social media landscape in real-time. Social Mention monitors 100+ social media properties directly including: Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, YouTube, Digg, Google etc.

I have given it a try and I have to say that the site is easy to use (just enter a keyword) and let SocialMention do the rest.

I will say that I am a bit perplexed by the “negative” catagory as it popped up some of my own tweets and I am pretty sure that I did not bash myself… but, I did not read the instructions either.
